This is what John calls his signature design: this one features classic walnut accented by always-intriguing curly maple. Folks seem to love the contrast of the rich walnut and the silky-looking maple. This bowl comes in two sizes; the small is approx. 12" diameter x 4" height and the large is approx. 15" x 6" (the final pictures are to give you a sense of scale between the two bowls!). The small size is a perfect everyday salad or snack bowl, while the larger is great for gatherings - or for serving a main course any night.
The stainless steel salad tongs shown here are a fun match, alternating the two woods attractively.
Each bowl is signed on the bottom by John Coppola, a woodworker from Rockland, Maine. We are so excited to have added his beautiful and unique pieces to the shop. The craftsmanship is exquisite - as are the woods.
